I'm no expert, but if you're invested for the long term you really don't need VYM. I'd say a better allocation is 90% in VT (which is VTI & VXUS), the other 20% you could spread them across 10 stocks that you researched and have a high conviction in. If you are very risk averse then ditch the stock picking, go 100% VT.
