Statics is great you’ll do awesome if you apply yourself and really get the problem setup/solving technique down. Statics is the foundation to the 2nd half of most ME classes. So don’t skip out on any lectures or HW. Being able to understand vectors, loads, pins, moments, etc. is what makes this class so important.

I'd say it's very common to struggle with a social life in Engineering. Your best bet is either try to complete homework assignments well in advance, on live somewhere that you can have roommates that you're already friends with. You can be like that and have zero social life and graduate after 4 years with a 1st.

The concepts aren't terribly difficult. Even though most of the problems in DiffEq follow a very step wise procedure, you have to be well versed in integrals, derivatives, and messy algebra. IMO it's pretty easy to mess up some of the longer problems, but in general you just have to be careful with your algebra. 2.

Consider dropping a class, working less hours, scheduling break times as that will make you more efficient and effective, and working/studying together with someone who is taking some of the same.
