Jd 535 baler.
I am looking at buyng a 1992 John Deere 535 baler. Has monitor, dual twine arms, all new pickup fingers, belt splices, no net wrap,in good condition, $7500. The parts book just says the 435/535 balers were built 1989 to 1996.Wore out two more 535's, two 567's and the current 568 has 17,000 bales on it. All were good balers, but the price of the upgrade has been worth it on everyone. As far as bale quality, the 535 with good belts is very comparable to a 567 or 568. The real difference is in productivity and reliability.

Welcome to HT, mpropst. NH Utility 450 literature says as little as 40HP, NH regular 450 baler says 60-100HP, JD 449 baler literature says 45HP, JD459 baler literature 55HP. I don't think you will find many NH Utility or JD449 balers, more likely the regular NH450 and JD459, so the common tread is at least 55-60HP.
