There is no best class. Mage is very aoe heavy and glass cannon like but has some good lifesteal early on even though lifesteal is nerfed in calamity. I would say that mage is the best for fighting the endgame bosses just because of subsuming vortex / void vortex.

it really depends on a lot, I think with a a lot of runs of each class, melee is probably best for just general dps and survivability, but if this was pre draedons, I would ay rogue, but the removal of pwnagehammer line with rogue dmg was really devastating because I loved rogue so much

Melee is objectively the strongest class. It has good early game with the enchanted sword, and during the mid and late game you have tons of options. It is also super consistent, so there are no time periods where you just can’t get good items. Summoner is strong, but struggles early game and is also super squishy no matter what you do.
